Dsi, Movies, and Writings

November 18th, 2009 (12:58 am)
busy

Lurking In: The Dreaded Cave of DOOM (aka my bedroom)
I Feel: busy
Jamming To: Surely Tomorrow-Pokemon High Touch Single CD

Sparkshift, my DSi, is shiny and new and oh so AWESOME. I was going to try and find a system skin to put on him, but now I'm thinking I'll just decorate him with stickers instead. I need to buy some Nintendo points and an SD card so I can add more features to him. And I've already transferred the WiFi logs from my old DS, Dennis, to Sparkshift, so I didn't lose anything. Well, except from Diamond. I went ahead and reset the WiFi logs for that, getting a new Friend Code, because I hardly ever use the WiFi on that game anyway and now it's only there for trading purposes. And for the Underground.

Remember how I said I was buying DVDs all over the place recently? Well, I just replaced another one of my VHS tapes with a DVD: Watership Down. I was lucky to find it; one of the local Blockbuster stores is going out of business (it just can't compete with the newer one that's close to Wal*Mart, I guess) and they're selling everything at huge discounts. And I mean EVERYTHING. DVDs, CDs, video games, toys, candy, and even the freaking SHELVES, and EMPTY DVD cases. I snagged Watership Down and the Wall-E soundtrack. So I think that leaves me with just two VHS tapes to get DVD replacements for...Mewtwo Returns and A Bug's Life.

Okay, so I've got 5-6 pages to write in order to finish up my short story for Creative Writing. I also have a poem to type out. Better get to work on them, then!

Until next time,
Cheers. ~o/>

Gamestop GiftCard, Yays!

November 10th, 2009 (11:45 pm)
satisfied

Lurking In: The Dreaded Cave of DOOM (aka my bedroom)
I Feel: satisfied
Jamming To: Steam Cave-PMD2 OST

I finally have my Gamestop Giftcard, yay!  So tomorrow after class I'm going to head over to the Gamestop in the mall and get my DSi.  I'm super-excited about getting one; unfortunately it has to charge about eight hours before you use it the first time, but that's not really going to be a problem because I'll be staying in Muncie tomorrow night, leaving it plenty of time to charge so it will be ready for recieving Arceus Thursday at Toys R Us.

Boy, the last few weeks I've been buying DVDs all over the place.  I've added Transformers (2 Disc Special Edition), Revenge of the Fallen (2 Disc Special Edition), Happy Feet, Giratina and the Sky Warrior, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Beyond Time and Darkness, Transformers Animated: Transform and Roll Out, and Transformers Animated: The Complete First Season to my DVD collection.  And you can bet I'll be buying more in the future.

Now, if only I can get that inspiration I need to finish the next two one-shots for my Transformers story collection...

Until next time,
Cheers.

Happy Halloween, All.

October 31st, 2009 (09:34 pm)
chipper

Lurking In: The Dreaded Cave of DOOM (aka my bedroom)
I Feel: chipper
Jamming To: Best Friends-Pokemon X

The BEST part of working on Halloween was that I wasn't home and therefore I did not hand out candy to the neighborhood brats this year.  It's always my job, and I hate doing it (because all the little kids in my neighborhood are annoying) so I was excited to find out I was scheduled to work tonight.

Marsh already has Christmas stuff out. Epic Fail.  Christmas ANYTHING is not allowed until the day after Thanksgiving.  Fail, Marsh. FAIL.

I've sent in for the Gamestop card, so sometime this week, or early next week, I should have my brand-new shiny blue DSi. Also, I might pick up a Wii game. Not sure yet.

Until next time,
Cheers.:music:

Swine Flu and Lappy's Back!

October 20th, 2009 (10:18 pm)
disappointed

Lurking In: The Dreaded Cave of DOOM (aka my bedroom)
I Feel: disappointed
Jamming To: Baman Piderman Theme Song (it's stuck in my head)

My little brother has Swine Flu!

He doesn't have a BAD case of it, but he still has it.  I'm not worried about catching it from him because I've never even had the REGULAR flu (never had a flu shot either), so I seriously doubt I'll get Swine Flu.

Lappy is back and so far in working condition! I had to take him back to the PC ER earlier this week, because they'd knocked the little wireless card loose when they opened him up to fix him, so the WiFi wasn't working. That's fixed now, too, so now I have Lappy back and he's not sick any more! Yay!

I tried to get Revenge of the Fallen from Redbox, but the nearest one did not have it.  It was sad.  But I plan on buying it very soon, so it's no too much of a letdown.

Niisama said that I should hold off on buying it, though, because he can get a $5 discount on the DVD since Papa John's is promoting it and that's where he works. Of course, if the discount doesn't apply to the two disc set, I won't be using it, but I don't see why it WOULDN'T. And even though I dislike Papa John's pizza with a passion I'm willing to eat it if it will get me a discount on Revenge of the Fallen. XD

Explorers of Sky is some seriously awesome stuff. And the DVD that came with the game was pretty good, too.

I'll be sending for my Gamestop Gift Card soon, then I'll finally get my blue DSi.

I finished Transformers: Animated. And I want MORE. It was a very good series, and I wish they'd made more than three seasons. *sighs* All the good cartoon series are short.

Until next time,
Cheers.~o/>

DSi is Coming....

October 11th, 2009 (02:44 am)
tired

Lurking In: Living Room
I Feel: tired

So I'm thinking in about one more week I'll have enough for my DSi. Just one more paycheck and then all I have to do is wait for my $50 Gamestop card to arrive.

I also need to head over to the Muncie Gamestop so I can pick up my copy of the new Mystery Dungeon game this week. Hopefully I won't have to work one of the days I have class in Muncie, because then I can just get on the bus and go over there after class.

So I bought the 2-Disc Special Edition of the first Transformers movie. (the special features are awesome) Which means I now have two copies of the movie.  Guess my regular edition DVD's got to be added to the list of things I'm going to sell.

Okay...nine days until Revenge of the Fallen is released on DVD! And yes, I AM going to buy it (even though I will be probably teased to no end by my family for doing so) because despite its shortcomings *cough*SkidsandMudflap*cough* it was a good movie, and I want it.

And this time, I'll make sure I buy the 2 Disc set from the start.

Until next time,
Cheers.~o/>

Lappy Troubles, Still

October 5th, 2009 (04:28 pm)
annoyed

Lurking In: Living Room
I Feel: annoyed
Jamming To: Transformers Movie Commentary

I finally got Lappy back and was told he was fully recovered, but 25 minutes of being turned on he went back to his old ways and randomly shut off.  So I took him back to the PC ER, and they are confused because this is a very unusual problem. So Lappy is back at the doctor. Hopefully they can heal him for real this time. If not, I guess it's time for  me to start looking for a new computer...

VIRUS =VERY YES? THAT'S NOT A GOOD PRIZE!

September 16th, 2009 (01:48 am)
frustrated

Lurking In: Living Room
I Feel: frustrated
Jamming To: Daidanen-Giratina and the Sky Warrior OST

My mom's laptop is infected with viruses again.  This makes it what, the third time this year?  :P I think I've managed to take care of it, though; my dad took care of it the last time it got infected, but he was asleep so I had to improvise.  I removed a crapload of infected/high-risk files via a Spyware remover, then I installed AVG (because Norton Anitvirus sucks) and used that to remove about seven more files.  I've rebooted the computer and no warnings popped up this time, so I think it's okay now.  I've got another scan running just to make sure I didn't miss anything, but it's been going for over an hour now and hasn't found anything yet, so that's good.

Unfortunately I can't change the desktop wallpaper via right click/properties on the desktop, or open the task manager.  It's a common side-effect; my dad fixed it last time so I'll ask him to do it again.

Anyway, I've got a POV exercise to finish for class using the character I created for the last assignment. Although technically she isn't a "new" character; Rosa's been around ever since I was a freshman in highschool, back when I needed a new character to star alongside the cannon characters in my first (and very horrible) Yu-Gi-Oh fanfic. Of course, Creative Writing Rosa will be a much more believable character.

On a completely different note, I've developed a liking for Ramune soda.  For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a Japanese soft drink that comes in a glass bottle.  The bottle is stoppered by a marble that you have to push down into the neck of the bottle (via a special cap) in order to open up the bottle for drinking.  It's pretty cool, though I have trouble pushing the marble down.  The soda itself is not as sweet as American soda; it's more  carbonization and less syrup (though it may just be the flavors I got, I'm not sure-so far I've only had peach and strawberry ramune) so it's not as sweet as the soda you may be used to drinking.  It's probably an acquired taste, but I like it.

Until next time,

Cheers. ~0/>

Transformers on the brain. Still. And HGSS are going to be AWESOME.

September 11th, 2009 (12:03 am)
good

Lurking In: Living Room
I Feel: good
Jamming To: Drink Up Me Hearties-Pirates:At World's End OST

Wal*Mart doesn't have Transformers: The Veiled Threat in stock anymore! Guess that means I'll have to bum a bookstore trip off of someone soon-that's okay, though; I was planning on making a bookstore run to pick up the first two Transformers Movie novels (Ghosts of Yesterday and Transformers) and Tales of the Fallen Issue #1, anyway.  But at least Wal*Mart has the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD of Transformers for only $15, which means I'll be able to get my hands on some awesome movie special features sooner than expected!

Okay, Lappy is STILL at the computer doctor. Mainly because he's behaving for them-he hasn't overheated or randomly shut off at all. I wonder if they gave Lappy a thorough cleaning? Because that's what was done (in addition to the complete wipe)earlier this year and he went several months without randomly shutting off. Also, I cleaned him out myself, though not as well (because the can I was using ran out before I could finish) and he went two days without shutting off. I need to check in to see exactly what's going on sometime this week. I HATE not being able to use my own computer.  In the meantime, I now have an account on my mom's laptop, so I'll be using that until Lappy is fully recovered and back with me once more.

I'm taking a Creative Writing class this semester! And I'm really excited about it because I've always wanted to take it but never been able to. So, I'm going to be writing A LOT more, which means I should be churning out short stories here and there, in addition to working on my longer fics. I have list of 50 prompts that I'm going to use to write short stories. More details can be found on my writing journal, [info]kitsunetriforce

Also, I have started watching Transformers: Animated. Originally I had avoided it because I thought it was going to be based on the live action movie, and when I discovered it wasn't I was disappointed. Also, I thought the animation looked hokey. But after watching it, I like it. It's pretty funny and interesting at the same time. I like Bulkhead; the fact that he's voiced by the same guy who does Patrick Star's voice makes me envision Patrick causing chaos among the Autobots every time Bulkhead does/says something. Bumblebee's still my favorite, though. Even though I like movie Bee better.

I've got Transformers on the brain pretty strongly. I need to find a good Transformers forum to join. :P

I may or may not be moving back to Muncie next spring.  Depends on if I can 1.)Get all my classes at the Ivy Tech Muncie campus next semester, 2.)Find a decent, well-paid job in Muncie, and 3.)  get accepted to sublease Athena's (Niisama's fiance-my future sister!) room at her apartment.  Who knows? It'd be nice to live in Muncie again; I enjoyed living there last year.

Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are SO FREAKING AWESOME.  Lucky Japan for getting them so soon!  Spring 2010 can't get here FAST enough.  At least the wait will buy me enough time to get my DSi-I'm very close to getting the Gamestop Giftcard (just a few hundred points more!)-since I want to have the WiFi logs for my copy of SoulSilver on the DSi instead of on Dennis (my old model DS).  And I'm getting paid in decent amounts at Wendy's, so I should be getting my DSi soon. Very soon!

Short Politics Rant! )

Until next time,

Cheers. ~0/>

School is Starting

August 26th, 2009 (02:36 am)
worried

Lurking In: Living Room
I Feel: worried
Jamming To: Optimus-Transformers OST

Lappy's STILL at the computer doctor, so that means I have to continue to use my mom's laptop as a means of getting online and working on my art/stories.  Yesh, I really hope whatever's ailing Lappy is nothing more serious than a busted fan.

School starts tomorrow.  And I have to work.  I will be dead tired.

Anyways, I'll probably have more to talk about tomorrow, so now, it's off to bed.

Cheers. ~o/>
