VIRUS =VERY YES? THAT'S NOT A GOOD PRIZE!
Lurking In: Living Room

Jamming To: Daidanen-Giratina and the Sky Warrior OST
My mom's laptop is infected with viruses again. This makes it what, the third time this year? :P I think I've managed to take care of it, though; my dad took care of it the last time it got infected, but he was asleep so I had to improvise. I removed a crapload of infected/high-risk files via a Spyware remover, then I installed AVG (because Norton Anitvirus sucks) and used that to remove about seven more files. I've rebooted the computer and no warnings popped up this time, so I think it's okay now. I've got another scan running just to make sure I didn't miss anything, but it's been going for over an hour now and hasn't found anything yet, so that's good.
Unfortunately I can't change the desktop wallpaper via right click/properties on the desktop, or open the task manager. It's a common side-effect; my dad fixed it last time so I'll ask him to do it again.
Anyway, I've got a POV exercise to finish for class using the character I created for the last assignment. Although technically she isn't a "new" character; Rosa's been around ever since I was a freshman in highschool, back when I needed a new character to star alongside the cannon characters in my first (and very horrible) Yu-Gi-Oh fanfic. Of course, Creative Writing Rosa will be a much more believable character.
On a completely different note, I've developed a liking for Ramune soda. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a Japanese soft drink that comes in a glass bottle. The bottle is stoppered by a marble that you have to push down into the neck of the bottle (via a special cap) in order to open up the bottle for drinking. It's pretty cool, though I have trouble pushing the marble down. The soda itself is not as sweet as American soda; it's more carbonization and less syrup (though it may just be the flavors I got, I'm not sure-so far I've only had peach and strawberry ramune) so it's not as sweet as the soda you may be used to drinking. It's probably an acquired taste, but I like it.
Until next time,
Cheers. ~0/>

Hope things with the laptop turn out okay. And yes, Norton Antivirus does suck. Epic fail, really. AVG is better -- it's what I use.
Have fun writing!
Ooh, I love Ramune! Heh, you've already tried my favorites (peach and strawberry). Plain is pretty good -- it's kind of like Sprite -- and I desperately want to try lychee. The only kind I've had that I haven't liked is kiwi -- it tasted sort of like "sour apple" flavored candy, which I don't like. Aren't the bottles nifty? Aggravating, though.
